According to fbsschedules.com, the California Golden Bears and the San Diego State Aztecs have agreed to a home-and-home set of games in 2024 and 2025.

A copy of the contract was obtained from the University of California, Berkeley via a state public records request.

In the first game of the series, California will host San Diego State at Memorial Stadium in Berkeley on Sept. 14, 2024. The Golden Bears will travel to face the Aztecs the following season at SDCCU Stadium on Sept. 13, 2025.

These games will come nearly 10 years after our last home-and-home with the Aztecs, which was in 2015 and 2016. In 2015 at Memorial Stadium, Jared Goff led the Bears to a 35–7 clubbering; they got their (Montezuma’s) revenge in 2016 by winning 45–40 in front of their home crowd. Overall, we’ve been perfectly balanced with San Diego State as we stand 4–4 against them.

Future schedules are always subject to change, but this finishes our 2024 nonconference schedule, which also includes a game against the UC Davis Aggies and a trip to the Auburn Tigers. In 2025, the UNLV Rebels will be stopping by Berkeley in addition to our game in San Diego.
