Three people remain in police custody this morning (May 25) after being arrested last night.

Police officers were at a property in Whittington Road, Trumpington at around 9.25pm on Sunday night (May 24) but the incident lasted into the early hours and armed police were spotted at the scene.

A witness said he'd seen "lots of armed police and normal police descending on Trumpington" last night and said he believed the incident was to do with a party that had got out of hand, although this information has not been confirmed by police at this time.

The incident appears to have lasted through much of the night, with the witness adding that armed police had then searched the property following making a number of arrests just after midnight.
