The Cambridge Folk Festival is one of the longest running and most prestigious folk festivals in the world, and we are lucky enough to call it our own right here in the city.

The festival has been held each year since 1965 and is renowned for its unique atmosphere and eclectic mix of music.

Running over the course of three days in August this year, the festival is suitable for all, and fingers crossed the sun will be shining too.

It attracts legendary traditional folk artists along with cutting edge contemporary acts, the finest American country, blues and roots artists and acclaimed singer songwriters, so there is something for everyone to come and enjoy!

And if that isn't exciting enough, Cambridge Folk Festival has this week announced the final headliners and a whole host of new acts set to entertain the crowds at Cherry Hinton Hall.

Hopefully the sun will be shining again this year
