From the TV network that brought you Famous and Fighting Crime and 24 Hours in Police custody comes a new docu-series, and it's being filmed right here in Cambridgeshire.

'The Dog House' (working title) is set to open the kennel doors on the dog home, where relationships between abandoned or unloved dogs and open hearted humans plays out.

The Channel 4 series will follow the 60 strong team at Wood Green, The Animals Charity in Cambridgeshire, which takes in hundreds of discarded, disowned, or neglected dogs every year.

To help boost the word and try to find some paw-fect matches Wood Green have put the call out for people looking for a new canine companion in their life.

The team at Wood Green counter the worst of our throw-away society and witness stories of canine rescue and restoration.

Ultimately their aim is to find each dog a forever home and a new best friend, but finding the right pairing takes experience, insight into human behaviour and an element of luck.

So if you think you're ready for some extra love in your life, and fancy sharing your (hopefully) blossoming friendship with the cameras, then get applying, and give an animal a chance at a new life while you're at it.
