The city of Ely had its second ever LGBTQ+ Pride event this weekend.

Hundreds of people attended the all day long celebration on Saturday (August 10) at The Maltings Green on Ely Riverside.

The programme was packed, and the festival itself was adorned with stalls for delicious food, drink, LGBTQ+ organisations, Pride themed cocktails, Jack's gelato, paella, as well as the therapy business Positively Treated.

Felicity Flappes was there to welcome people of all backgrounds for the packed programme on main stage.

The fun was family friendly, and 4th Dimension, the youth dance troupe, featured a choreographed dance for the occasion. Local celebrity Nigel Murfitt brought queer 'herstory' to the stage.

The night ended with a Freddie Mercury tribute to send the festival off in style.

An after party took place between 7pm and 2am at the Riverside Bar and Kitchen, which featured three DJs.
