A man was transported to R. Adams Crowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore with non-life-threatening injuries Sunday after he was shot in the hand on Tyler Avenue, an Annapolis police spokeswoman said.

The man told police he was outside on the 1400 block of Tyler Avenue at 10:48 p.m. when he heard a gunshot and notice he had been struck in the hand.

Police are investigating the incident.
