A man was stabbed multiple times in Robinwood neighborhood and taken to a trauma in Baltimore early Saturday morning, Annapolis police said.

Officers responded around 5:15 a.m. to the 1300 block of Tyler Avenue after police received a call about a stabbing, said Sgt. Amy Miguez, police spokeswoman.

Police arrived to find a 20-year-old man suffering from stab wounds to multiple parts of his body, including his abdomen, Miguez said.

Paramedics drove the man to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center with injuries that are not believed to be life threatening, she said.

Detectives have yet to determine what led to the assault, she said, though they believe the stabbing occurred in the 1400 block of Tyler Avenue — less than a quarter mile from where officers found the victim.

The Annapolis Police Department urged anyone with information to contact investigating detectives at 410-260-3439 or, if they wish to remain anonymous, dial 1-866-756-2587 to leave tip with Metro Crime Stoppers.
