The Ford Figo’s petrol powertrains are the most powerful and torquiest in the segment. It is also the only one that is now available with a proper 6-speed torque convertor automatic. Meanwhile, the Nios and Swift’s petrol engines are tied in terms of performance and both are BS6 compliant as well.

The Grand i10 Nios’ diesel engine is tied with the Swift’s for performance once again. Ford’s hatchback has the biggest diesel engine and offers the most performance. The Maruti diesel is the most fuel efficient choice again while the Figo is the least efficient. Having said that, all the hatchbacks offer over 24kmpl of certified efficiency.
