RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – Raleigh police said Friday that investigators could not find any indications that foul play” was involved after construction crews discovered a body in Crabtree Creek earlier this week.

A construction crew was working along the creek in the 2100-block of North Hills Drive Tuesday morning when they found the body and called police, those at the scene told CBS 17.

The crew had been working on the trail to stop erosion caused by the water, workers said.

The same crew was out in the same spot on Monday and told CBS 17 they didn’t see anything that day. Police said the water was higher Monday and as it lowered it may have revealed the body. Authorities said it appeared the body had been in the water for some time.
