MOUNDVILLE, Ala. (WIAT)-The Hale County Coroner has identified the two people who were killed Wednesday night in a fatal boat crash in Hale county on the Black Warrior River.  The victims are 23 year old Destiny Graben from Northport, and 47 year old Ricky Glover.

Lori Wyatt has known Glover for twelve years.  She says he was a wonderful person and good friend who was the coach of the Hale County softball team.

“He was very outgoing and didn’t meet a stranger and just a very nice guy. He had many friends in the community and had been in moundville a long time” Wyatt said.

State Trooper Freddi Ingram says none of the victims were wearing life jackets. The two boats collided head-on a few miles south of the Moundville boat ramp around 6pm Wednesday night.  One was a bass boat, the other was a ski boat.  Ingram says a total of eight people were in both boats and several were ejected.

“Ya’ll please have compassion they need help and need everybody thinking about them so please pray and try to help them and do some good.  This is a sad and traumatic situation, we want everyone to be safe on the water” Ingram said.

Lori Wyatt didn’t know 23 year old Destiny Graben, but still is sending prayers and condolences to her family.

“My heart goes out to them, all of moundville is in our thoughts and prayers thinking about what they are going through” Wyatt said.

Trooper Ingram says both Graben and Glovers bodies were sent to Montgomery for autopsy.  They will be tested to see if alcohol played a factor in the deadly crash.  Two others who were hurt are still be treated in the hospital.
