Couple accused of robbing 8 Milwaukee-area businesses in less than 2 weeks

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – A couple is accused of robbing eight businesses in Milwaukee County over the course of two weeks.

Investigators say 30-year-old Stephanie Nisiewicz of Cudahy, and 26-year-old Nicholas Schneider of Wind Lake, robbed the following businesses:

  • Oct. 4 – Tenuta’s To Go located at 3902 S. Whitnall Avenue, Milwaukee
  • Oct. 7 – Golden Chicken located at 7828 S. Howell Ave, Oak Creek
  • Oct. 9 – Martinizing Dry Cleaner located at 233 W. Layton Avenue, Milwaukee
  • Oct. 11 – LA Tan located at 3088 E. Layton Avenue, Milwaukee
  • Oct. 11 – Subway located at 4698 S. Whitnall Avenue, Milwaukee
  • Oct. 17 – Dunkin’Donuts located at 151 W. Layton Avenue, Milwaukee
  • Oct. 17 – Cudahy PC located at 4846 S. Packard Avenue, Cudahy
  • Oct. 17—Speedway located at 110 W. College Avenue, Milwaukee

Investigators say the pair robbed each business in a similar way; one suspect would enter the business, usually wearing a hooded sweatshirt, and demand money. In many of the robberies, officials say the suspects would imply they have a weapon.

During the robbery of Dunkin’ Donuts on Oct. 17, investigators say Nisiewicz stated to the employee, “I have someone in the car ready to pull the trigger because there is a bomb in here. Are you ready to die?”

Police arrested Nisiewicz after the robbery of Speedway on Oct. 17. The criminal complaint says she admitted to robbing several places with her boyfriend, Nicholas Schneider.

Both Nisiewicz and Schneider face several counts of armed robbery and attempted armed robbery.

Their bonds were set at $20,000. Both are due in court on Friday, Nov. 1.
