MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee man is dead and six others injured after an accident near 6th and Locust Thursday, June 4.
The Milwaukee Fire Department says two vehicles collided around 4:48 p.m.
Police say they attempted to stop a speeding vehicle that had multiple people hanging out of its windows.
After refusing to pull over, the speeding car struck another vehicle.
A 22-year-old man in the striking vehicle was ejected and later died at the hospital. Another passenger suffered serious injuries.
Officers believe the people in the speeding vehicle were part of the protests.
Police say the driver of the vehicle that was struck suffered non-life threatening injuries.
