Milwaukee police investigate damage to area ATMs

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are investigating after two ATMs were broken into within the past week.

Around 11:45 p.m. on Thursday, June 4, officers found a BMO Harris Bank ATM with significant damage near 13th and Oklahoma. The ATM monitor was smashed, an upper door in the open position, and they say the lower cabinet door was dented and physically pried open.

On Friday, June 5, officers responded to a possible break-in of a BMO Harris Bank ATM near 4th and National around 12:44 a.m. Police say the face of the ATM was open and a cash box was laying on the ground in front of the ATM. It is unknown if any money was taken.

Authorities continue to seek unknown suspects in both incidents.
