Traffic disruption after police incident on A55 in Chester

A police incident on the A55 in Chester has been left traffic congested this morning (June 10.)

The incident occurred near to the Post House roundabout, leaving the A41 slip to the A55 southbound carriage closed.

There was also a closure at Vicars Cross leading onto the A55.

Traffic was trapped in the area and the southbound carriage has now been reopened according to the North West Motorway Police.

However, traffic is still congested and commuters can expect delays around the A41 slip road near to Vicars Cross.

North West Motorway Police tweeted: 'We are dealing with a police incident on A55 not far from Post House roundabout, A41 slip to A55 southbound carriageway is now closed, we will be putting a closure on at Vicars Cross onto A55 sb, we do have some trapped traffic in the area'
