Former Chester FC striker Harry White has departed the Blues' National League North rivals, Hereford FC, by mutual consent.

White, 23, was released by the Blues following relegation from the National League last season and made the switch to Edgar Street during the summer, signed by then manager Peter Beadle.

But the Bulls, promoted to the National League North last season, sacked Beadle controversially in September and they have since struggled in the league and sit third bottom with just four wins from their 19 games.

White, who netted five times in 30 games for Chester last season after signing from Solihull Moors, has scored four times for Hereford this season and was their leading scorer before deciding to depart.

The Birmingham-born striker has opted to step away from football for the time being in order to go travelling with his girlfriend.

Hereford's head of football, Tim Harris, told the official website: "Harry expressed his wishes to take some time out and go travelling with his girlfriend, we certainly wouldn’t want to stand in the way of an opportunity like this for him and we have agreed that he can leave by mutual consent.

"We’d like to thank him for his efforts whilst he was with us, and we all wish him well for the future."
