Chester Zoo is kicking off a new month by opening its gates for another virtual tour.

Tomorrow (Friday, May 1) will be the fifth week that the tourist attraction opens up so people all over the world can catch a glimpse of the zoo's best known animals.

From 10am anyone tuning in to the zoo's Facebook or YouTube pages will be able to watch red river hogs enjoy their breakfast, chimpanzee feeding time and lunchtime with painted dogs.

After that meet the world's most dangerous birds the cassowaries, who have dagger-like claws and see the reticulated python enjoy a late lunch later on that day.

Staff say the running order may be subject to ever so slight changes and there may be more surprises throughout the day.

Chester Zoo have issued some of these top tips for viewers at home:

If you’d prefer to watch on a TV, laptop or home computer, you may wish to watch on the Chester Zoo TV/YouTube page here.

On Facebook, some followers might like to watch in portrait, while some prefer landscape, so the zoo may mix it up so there’s something for everyone.
