Cheshire’s first Health and Beauty Expo supported by Chester Racecourse’s Project 1000 takes place in March and Chester's very own TV personality will be making an appearance.

BBC Breakfast presenter Louise Minchin who lives in the city will give an inspiring talk about her journey into the world of triathlons, competing for GB, and completing the PatagonMan Xtri. Louise will also be signing copies of her book ‘Dare to Tri’.

The event takes place on Sunday, March 17 in the beautiful surroundings of Britain’s oldest racecourse and is on behalf of Save the Family , a charity based in Chester working with homeless and troubled families.

The event is free to attend and people will be able to experience an exciting day full of brilliant makeup and hair demonstrations, advice on diet and nutrition and exercise advice from high profile local health and beauty professionals.

During the event there will be a ‘Young Make Up Artist of the Year 2019’ competition which will start at 2pm with judging at 3pm with Alisha Heap Makeup and Jasmin Archer-Jones on the judging panel. The winning prizes will be an Estee Lauder beauty hamper and Doll Beauty treats. Entrants must be between the ages of 13-21 years of age and must arrive by 1:30pm at the latest for registration which costs £10. During the day Glow Beauty will be painting nails and doing makeup in return for donations to the charity.
