PUPILS from schools across the Chester area sang live in front of a TV audience of millions as part of this year's BBC Children in Need telethon.

Children from schools including The Arches Primary, Acresfield Primary, St Clare’s, The Firs, Eccleston CofE, Chester Bluecoat C of E Primary, Waverton Primary, Blacon High, Dee Point Primary and Highfield Community Primary sang A Million Dreams from The Greatest Showman at Chester's Storyhouse last Friday night.

Their performance was broadcast live along with children's choirs across the UK, in front of a TV audience of more than seven million.

The choir was also featured earlier that evening on BBC's North West Tonight, which hosted its news programme at the cultural hub and was watched by 700,000 people.
