TWO men have been charged after a teenager was attacked outside shops in Kingsway, Chester.
Ryan Salmon, 24, of Thomas Wedge Road in Saughall, has been charged with section 18 wounding with intent and possession with intent to supply cannabis. He has been remanded to appear at Chester Crown Court.
John McKiernan, 40, of Cambrian Avenue in Boughton, has been charged with section 18 wounding with intent. He too has been bailed to appear at Chester Crown Court.
It comes after a 17-year-old was assaulted outside a shop on Kingsway at around 4pm on Tuesday, April 9,
The victim went to hospital with serious but not threatening injuries to his back and neck.
Detective Constable Nicola Edgell, of Chester CID, said: “This was a nasty assault which took place in broad daylight when the area was busy with people passing by."
