A 3-year-old boy fell from a third-floor window Saturday evening in the Lincoln Park neighborhood on the North Side, according to officials.
About 7 p.m., the boy tumbled from a window in the 1900 block of North Mohawk Street, according to Chicago police. A witness told officers that the screen of a third-floor window detached right before the child fell.
The boy suffered blunt-force trauma in his head but was responsive to on-scene paramedics. He was taken to Lurie Children’s Hospital in critical condition, police said
Area Central detectives are investigating.
