A Chicago police officer who was cleaning his gun accidentally shot himself in the pinkie finger Friday afternoon at a South Side police station, police said.
The officer was listed in good condition at a hospital, where he was being treated for the wound to his left finger, police said.
It happened about 1:10 p.m. at the 6th District police station, 7808 S. Halsted St.
