That’s it from me today.

- One person is hospital after two cars collided near the Blue House Roundabout
- A bouncer has been sacked after footage of him allegedly attacking a 19-year-old woman in Perdu was shared online

Have a wonderful evening.
Footage from the scene
We’ve been sent in this short video which gives a better idea of where the road closure is.
This video shows a section of Grandstand Road heading towards the Blue House Roundabout closed off.
Blue House Roundabout crash
A section of the Great North Road/Grandstand Road is closed due to a traffic accident near the Blue house Roundabout.
Two cars collided on the busy route shortly after 2pm and emergency services are at the scene.
The cars are being removed and traffic should return to normal soon but there is disruption at the moment.
We’re waiting on confirmation of where the road is closed and if diversions are in place but it appears to be somewhere between the Bluehouse Roundabout and the central motorway.
More when we get it.
Bouncer sacked over this video
This story has been going crazy all day.
A bouncer has been sacked after a shocking clip emerged of him allegedly assaulting a teenage girl in Perdu.
Lauryn Parker, 19, claims a burly bouncer left her bruised and battered after repeatedly KNEEING her in the Diamond Strip nightspot.
She was celebrating Halloween dressed as a bunny when the alleged attack unfolded.
Nick Dunn to release memoir
This is going to be an amazing read.
War hero Nick Dunn, who was detained in India for four years, says he is slowly readjusting to life back home, almost a year after his release.
The former paratrooper is one of six ex-British soldiers, dubbed the Chennai Six, who were released from an Indian prison in December last year after a lengthy legal battle.
With the one year anniversary fast approaching, Nick opened up about his struggles since returning home and his ambitions to write a book about his ordeal in India.
Teesside car smash
Crazy story from Teesside here.
A vehicle has smashed into a row of parked cars in Thornaby before the driver “ran off”, it is alleged.
Several cars were showing visible damage at the scene on Thornaby Road on Sunday morning, with the entire back corner of a white Vauxhall caved in.
A woman at the scene told Teesside Live: “They have hit a load of parked cars and run off.”
Newcastle suspected stabbing
We’ve had confirmation a 19-year-old has been injured in a suspected stabbing in Newcastle.
You can read all the updates in our dedicated live blog by clicking right here.
Train disruption cleared
LNER say delays caused by a vehicle hitting a rail bridge are now over and everything is running smoothly.
Stanhope Street incident
We’re covering a separate live incident on Stanhope Street near the city centre right now.
Police activity there has wound down but we’re still waiting on more details about what exactly has happened.
Disruption on East Coast main line
LNER say a vehicle colliding with a bridge is creating delays.
More on this when we get it.
Metro update
Plenty of trains out and about but not to the usual timetable due to low rail adhesion.
FYI, “low rail adhesion” is how people who don’t want to say “leaves on the track” say “leaves on the track”.

Some very sad national news breaking this morning.
Sir Heywood, who has been at the heart of the British Government for decades, stood down last month due to ill health.
