A County Durham woman who went missing from home has been found, police have confirmed.
Carol Door was reported missing after last being seen leaving her home in Frank Avenue, Seaham last Monday.
Earlier in the week there were several unconfirmed sightings of Carol in the Whitley Bay area and officers also asked visitors to the Northumberland Coast to keep an eye out for the 42-year-old mum.
However on Tuesday, Durham Constabulary confirmed the good news that she had now been found.
A spokesperson for the force said: "We are very pleased to say that missing mum, Carol Door has been located. Thank you to everyone who helped share the post and passed information to assist our efforts."
Anyone who has seen Carol, or knows of her whereabouts, is asked to call Durham Constabulary on 101, quoting incident number 314 of February 11.
