A Northumberland woman whose car was found at a beach has been missing for more than a week.

Officers have been searching for missing Mary Fuller who has not been seen since Saturday, December 8.

The 63-year-old was last seen at her home in Branxton, near the Scottish Borders before her disappearance.

Her bronze Mitsubishi Eclipse car was found on December 9 at Cocklawburn beach in Berwick-Upon-Tweed.

It has now been nine days since Mary was last seen or heard from.

Police are asking anyone with any information on her whereabouts to get in touch.

A spokesperson for Northumbria Police: "Officers are growing increasingly concerned for Mary’s welfare, and so police are now appealing for help from the public.

"She is described as white, of slight build with grey short hair. She was last seen wearing a green fleece waist coat, green trousers and boots.

"Mary, or anyone who knows her whereabouts, is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference 1218912."
