Knights are preparing themselves for battle at Alnwick Castle in Northumberland this summer and families are invited to share in the action.

As a treat during the upcoming school holidays, the Alnwick attraction will be hosting a Knights Week from August 4 which promises to be a visual spectacular with, besides those valiant knights, plenty of magnificent horses and princesses.

Running until August 10, the medieval-style week, celebrating the age of chivalry,  will see the knights ride into the castle for action.
