A dance music night for 30s returns to Newcastle this month.

Club 30-80 is a DIY dance music event for those who want to enjoy club music, but not in nightclubs full of teens and twenty-somethings.

Or as Club 30-80 puts on its Facebook page "We don't go clubbing but we still want to shimmy… "

The group has revealed details of its first 2019 event, which will be held on Saturday, January 19 in Ouseburn, at St Dominic's Catholic Club, which is at the top of Stepney Bank and opposite the Tanners' Arms.

Club 30-80 says: "As always we'll be taking requests on the night so you get to choose the music you want to hear, and dance to, all night long, or at least till our host Barbara calls time at the bar!"

The event opens at 7pm.

Tickets cost £5, plus a £0.50 booking fee, and are available through WeGotTickets here .

Song requests can be made on the night, through the group's Facebook page, or by emailing club30to80@gmail.com .
