Not everything on Twitter has been bad news lately.

What could have been a Twitter spat turned into a good-humored ribbing on Twitter between two Ohio politicians.

When Cincinnati City Councilman P.G. Sittenfeld tweeted about stress-eating some Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream, Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost quote tweeted back, asking why he wasn't eating locally-made, Kroger brand Private Selection.

"Mr. AG, I know you lean right, but look left in this picture, too! (Graeter's) & Aglamesis are as Cincinnati as you can get! (Not to mention, all purchased at Kroger). Next time, you're in town, I'll treat you to a cone & we can debate criminal justice reform," Sittenfeld tweeted back.

Yost replied in good humor.

"You’re on! I love ice cream... and I appreciate that you have a sense of humor," Yost said.

"Would genuinely love to have that conversation & hear each other out. Good news: while on my home turf, I pick up the bill," Sittenfeld said.

Sittenfeld said both banter and serious issues can "coexist" on Twitter.

One Twitter user chimed in, "Glad you both can have positive banter. And as a conservative, I think the term you are looking for is fiscally conservative not cheap."
