A longtime club track coach in Lincoln Heights was arrested Thursday after deputies said he tried to have sex with a 10-year-old girl.

Gary "Kip" Flanigan, 52, is charged with attempted rape and gross sexual imposition.

Hamilton County Sheriff's Office investigators said Flanigan groped the victim and attempted to have sex with her while holding her down on the bed. Court records state the incident was witnessed by another adult.

Flanigan was listed as a coach on Lincoln Heights Track Club website until this weekend, but his name has since been removed. His name remains in the Google cache description.

The club currently lists a roster of 48 runners between the ages of 6 and 16.

Coaches and team organizers could not be reached at the time of this report.

Prior Enquirer reporting shows Flanigan has coached for the team since at least 2011.

Sheriff's office officials said there have been no reports of additional victims in this investigation.

Flanigan is being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center on a $200,000 bond awaiting trial.
