The newest Ohio Prep Sportswriter's football keeps Wyoming High School's wire-to-wire streak alive as the No. 1 team in Ohio's Division IV. The defending state champs remain in the driver's seat in the Cincinnati Hills League with their Nov. 1 showdown with No. 6 Indian Hill looming ahead.

In Division I, unbeaten Fairfield received a pair of first-place votes but remains No. 3 in the state. The Indians have home dates with Oak Hills and Colerain remaining in their quest to finish 10-0.  Elder stays at No. 5 after their 42-37 defeat of Winton Woods, while St. Xavier drops four spots to No. 10 after losing to La Salle 22-15. New to the top 10 under new coach Shawn Cutright are the Colerain Cardinals at No. 9.

In Division II, Turpin somehow was dropped from 4th to 5th despite holding off Anderson 29-28 to remain undefeated. La Salle overtook the Spartans for No. 4 with their "Battle of North Bend" victory over St. Xavier. Winton Woods fell out from No. 9 to 13th overall after their narrow loss to Elder at home.

New to the Division II top 10 is Harrison at No 9. The Wildcats' sole loss was to Indiana powerhouse East Central.

Greater Cincinnati has no Division III representation this week. In Division IV, Roger Bacon is still slightly on the outside at No. 11 behind top-ranked Wyoming and No. 6 Indian Hill despite a convincing win over CHCA Friday where Corey Kiner scored eight touchdowns with Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly in attendance.

Former Bearcats coach Brian Kelly takes the field with UC athletic director Mike Bohn before the first quarter of the NCAA American Athletic Conference game between the Cincinnati Bearcats and the Tulsa Golden Hurricane at Nippert Stadium in Cincinnati on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2019.

Likewise, one loss Taft is on the outskirts of Division V at No. 11. Division VI is empty locally, but New Miami advanced from 8th to 6th in Division VII with a 48-26 win over North College Hill.
