Sublette man dies after truck hits bridge pillar in southwest Kansas

A 52-year-old Sublette man was killed Sunday afternoon when the truck he was driving crashed into a bridge pillar in Haskell County in southwest Kansas, authorities said.
The crash was reported at 3:18 p.m. on US-83 highway at the US-160 highway overpass.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2017 Dodge truck was traveling north on US-83 when it veered off the roadway to the right, striking a bridge pillar at the US-160 overpass.
The driver, Brian K. Quimby, was pronounced dead at the scene. The patrol said Quimby, who was alone in the truck, was wearing a seat belt.
