I-70 closed in section west of Topeka

Due to icy conditions, the Kansas Department of Transportation announced Interstate 70 has been closed in both directions between Junction City and Chapman.

Freezing rain has begun accumulating in Topeka Tuesday afternoon, moving into the area from the west. Meteorologists are anticipating a snow accumulation of less than a half inch.
