A man suffered a wound that wasn't considered life-threatening early Friday when he was shot in northeast Topeka's Oakland community, police said.

No arrests had been made.

Police weren't releasing the man's name or age.

Lt. Manuel Munoz said officers were called about 2 a.m. to Brass Rail Tavern, 401 N.E. Emmett, on a report of a fight.

When they arrived, officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound in the parking lot. The man was taken to a Topeka hospital.

The man and people who'd witnessed the shooting weren't cooperating with police, according to Munoz. He said police were continuing to investigate.

No other information about the incident was immediately available.
