Two taken into custody following foot chase in central Topeka

Police apprehended two people after a short foot chase Tuesday morning in central Topeka, authorities said.

The incident started around 10:27 a.m. in the 1400 block of S.W. Topeka Boulevard.

Police said two males suspected of criminal trespassing ran west from officers, with the chase leading to an alley in the 1400 block of S.W. Polk.

One of the males was taken into custody by Topeka police. The other was apprehended by Capitol Police.
