A 31-year-old man suffered wounds that weren't considered life-threatening when he was shot multiple times early Friday in East Topeka, police said.

Officers were called about 2:30 a.m. to the shooting scene at 239 S.E. Lawrence, said Topeka police Lt. John Trimble. Lawrence is located four blocks east of S.E. Branner.

No arrests had been made. Circumstances of the shooting remained under investigation, Trimble said.

Authorities weren't releasing the name of the victim, who was taken by American Medical Response ambulance to a Topeka hospital.
