One person was reported to have minor injuries after a work truck backed into a Topeka Metro bus Tuesday morning in East Topeka, authorities said at the scene.

The collision was reported about 11:45 a.m. just west of S.E. 21st and Indiana Avenue.

Police officer Mitch Soden said at the scene that the initial investigation indicated a truck was backing out of a driveway at a residence in the 1200 block of S.E. 21st when it collided with the right side of a Topeka Metro bus that was eastbound on S.E. 21st.

A passenger in the bus complained of neck pain after the collision.

No other injuries were initially reported.

It wasn't immediately known whether the person complaining of pain would require treatment at a local hospital.

The right side of the bus appeared to have sustained a small dent as a result of the collision.
