Presbyterian Manor begins renovations
The Topeka Presbyterian Manor announced this week that it has kicked off a $1.6 million renovation project to improve the facility's common areas.
According to a news release from the Presbyterian Manor, the renovation project began Jan. 16. The manor, 4712 S.W. 6th Ave., has partnered with Harbin Construction, of Salina, to remodel the main entrance of the facility and its common areas, such as dining rooms and the library.
"Renovations to the campus will create an opportunity to provide enhanced programming to residents," said Heather Pilkinton, executive director of the Topeka Presbyterian Manor.
Renovations are expected to take about six months. Beginning Jan. 30, the main entrance of the facility will be closed for the duration of the project. Residents and their guests will have to enter on the north side of the building, at the entrance to the Garden Independent Living area, according to the news release.
Topeka Presbyterian Manor is a faith-based, nonprofit senior living community. It is one of 17 senior living communities operated by Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America headquartered in Wichita.
"Our focus is to positively impact the lives of those we serve presently and into the future," Pilkinton said. "It is a joy and a privilege to be part of this project."
