Three arrested during Topeka drug raids

Mercedes Raquel Moore, 29, was among three people arrested Friday in connection with drug crimes.

Authorities arrested three people and seized methamphetamine and marijuana while executing search warrants Friday at three locations in Topeka.

Shawnee County Jail records identified those taken into custody as Tracy Lee Smith, 58, and Mercedes Raquel Moore and Isaac Fred Craney, both 29.

Lt. Jerry Monasmith of the Topeka Police Department said Topeka police and the Shawnee County Drug Task Force conducted the searches, which were related to ongoing narcotics investigations, at sites in the 500 block of N.E. Winfield, 1200 block of S.W. Fillmore and 1300 block of S.W. Harrison.

Monasmith said Smith, Moore and Craney were all booked into the Shawnee County Jail in connection with the distribution of methamphetamine, distribution of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

Moore and Craney were also booked in connection with aggravated child endangerment, he said.

Isaac Fred Craney, 29, was among three people arrested Friday in connection with drug crimes.
