More questions about rescue mission

I know the Topeka Rescue Mission has provided support to folks who are in great need and have done so over decades. So in listening to the news coverage on TV and reading the articles in the papers, I was struck by the lack of information about how this long-established organization all of a sudden finds itself hundreds of thousands of dollars short of meeting its monthly expenditures.

I went to the TRM website and found 15 heads of departments and eight board members. I just wonder why apparently no one noticed the financial shortfall that was just around the corner.
