All aboard! New Stage Theatre takes a stab at 'Murder on the Orient Express'

New Stage Theatre's 54th season is still underway with their second regional premiere of "Murder on the Orient Express".

The murder mystery is set to have performances from Oct. 22 through Nov. 3.

Performances can be seen on Tuesdays through Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and on Sundays at 2 p.m.

In New Stage Theatre's "Murder on the Orient Express" actor Bill Ford Campbell plays Belgian detective Hercule Poirot.

The classic Agatha Christie mystery is set in the 1930s where a luxury train that transports passengers from Paris through central and eastern Europe to its final stop in Istanbul, Turkey. Along the way, a snowstorm brews and causing the Orient Express to get stuck near Belgrade. During their stalemate, a murder occurs and it takes Belgian detective Hercule Poirot, played by Bill Ford Campbell to solve the case. With a train full of suspects and an alibi for each one, the mystery gets more and more difficult to crack.

"Murder on the Orient Express" demonstrates Christie’s genius for story and the actors assembled for our production are the perfect cast to bring her extravagant, interesting and fun characters to life," Francine Reynolds, artistic director at New Stage, said in a news release.

The cast includes: Bill Ford Campbell as Hercule Poirot (Pearl), Audrey Bennett as Countess Andrenyi (Madison), Jeremy Cooper as Hector MacQueen (Pearl), Viola Dacus as Princess Dragomiroff (Clinton), Ward Emling as Monsieur Bouc (Florence), Keri Horn as Greta Ohlsson (Brandon), Chesley McKissack as Mary Debenham (Flowood), Laurie Pascale as Helen Hubbard (Fayettevill, AR), Larry Wells as Samuel Ratchett (Jackson), Jonathan C. Whitney as Colonel Arbuthnot (Brooklyn, NY), Christopher Sferra as the Head Waiter (Jackson), and Drew Stark as Michael the Conductor (Jackson).
