Snow falls in parts of Mississippi Tuesday

Snow is in the forecast Tuesday for parts of Mississippi, according to the National Weather Service in Jackson.
Rain will become mixed with or change to snow this afternoon and into tonight in areas along and north of U.S. Highway 82. Light accumulations of up to a half inch will be possible. Bridges may become snow covered and slick.
The National Weather Service in Memphis reported sleet in Oxford, Miss. on Tuesday morning. WTVA later reported snow falling in Oxford.
