Straight line winds, tornadoes possible in Mississippi Monday

Parts of Mississippi are under a severe thunderstorm warning with the possibility of straight line winds and tornadoes.

4:30 p.m. Monday: Storms moving across south Mississippi

Heavy rains and thunderstorms are moving across Hattiesburg and should last until 6 p.m.

11 a.m. Monday: Power outages

Entergy announced that 446 customers are without power statewide. The customers are centralized in 14 counties.

8 a.m. Monday: Warnings in the Delta

The National Weather Service posted on its Twitter page there is a "Severe Thunderstorm Warning including Greenville MS, Greenwood MS, Indianola MS until 8:45 AM CDT."

Severe thunderstorm watch

According to the National Weather Service in Jackson, a severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for parts of Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi until 1 p.m. Monday. 

West of I-55, Grenada, Greenwood, Greenville, Yazoo City and Vicksburg are under a severe thunderstorm warning. Areas to the east of the interstate should also expect to see rain throughout the morning.
