Capital University -- Alex Yonek of Brunswick was named to the Provost’s List for the fall 2019 semester at Capital University.

Aaron Roos of Medina and Natalie Galaida of Brunswick were named to the Dean's List at Capital University for the fall 2019

Brandon Doeringer of Brunswick and Colin Frimel and Emily Pamer of Medina were named to the President's List for the fall 2019 semester.

Capital has three lists denoting academic distinction among full-time, degree-seeking students: The President's List indicates the highest level of academic distinction. To be named to the President's List, students must have achieved a grade point average of at least 3.85.

University of Mount Union -- The following students from Medina have been named to the Dean's List for the fall 2019 semester at the University of Mount Union.

William Beebe, Taylor Burrel, Bethany Eierdam Sr., Savannah Kole, Matthew Larsen, Madison Luthy, Benjamin Schroth, Isabella Stein and Ryan Summers.

Dean’s list students from Brunswick include Olivia Andrew, Allison Cipalla, Kari Gaebelein, Emily Ina, Molly McGinnis, and Hannah Wasylko. Dean’s list honorees from Hinckley are Carson Ciesinski, Rachel Huttner, Adam Nagy and Mary Salem.

Graceland University -- Melonia Lillie of Medina, graduated with a Doctor of Nursing Practice (Organizational Leadership) from Graceland University, in Lamoni, IA.

Slippery Rock University – Erin Brod and Alec Uttech from Medina were named to the dean’s list at Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania.

Marietta College --Charles Herman of Medina has been named to the Fall 2019 Dean's List. Herman is majoring in Sport Management and is a graduate of Medina High School.

Belmont University -- The following local students achieved the Dean's List at Belmont University for the Fall 2019 semester: John Horst and Julia Van Wagnen of Medina and Sadie Nayman of Hinckley.

The Ohio State University --Jacob Semus of Medina was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Semus was initiated at The Ohio State University.

Semus is among approximately 30,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year. Membership is by invitation only and requires nomination and approval by a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors are eligible for membership. Graduate students in the top 10 percent of the number of candidates for graduate degrees may also qualify, as do faculty, professional staff and alumni who have achieved scholarly distinction.
