Cuyahoga Community College: Forty-eight student-athletes at Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) received All-Academic recognition from the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference for their classroom success during spring semester. To gain All-Academic status, students needed at least a 3.3 GPA. Tri-C led the conference in honorees.
The team members came from the sports of baseball, basketball, soccer, softball, volleyball and track and field.
Two Triceratops from Medina County were recognized, Jacob Williams of Brunswick earned honors as a member of the baseball team and Caitlan Dunlap of Medina is a member of the softball team
University of Alabama: A total of 16,470 students enrolled during the 2020 spring semester at The University of Alabama were named to the Dean's List with an academic record of 3.5 or above or the President's List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's).
Those who earned President’s List honors are Medina residents, Cameron Billy, Mark Conlee, Adam Fowler, Delaney Nolan, Mya Shirey and Anna Warvell as well as Meghan Heimann of Brunswick and Quade Mainzer of Hinckley.
University of Kentucky: Brittany Alexander of Hinckley was named to the Spring 2020 University of Kentucky College of Arts & Sciences Dean's List. During this term, Brittany was majoring in Psychology.
Hiram College: Thomas Supan of Medina and Brunswick residents Brett Bentkowski, Hayley Scherer and Cassandra Steets were named to the Dean's List for the spring 2020 semester.
University of Findlay: The dean’s list for the spring 2020 semester at the University of Findlay has been announced. Local students include Medina area residents, Joseph Dutko, Ralph King, Katelyn Malena, Gabrielle McNeil, Madison Vedda and Breanna Wadel. Brunswick residents who earned honors are Catherine Blackley, Haley Ganger and Megan LoFaso. From Hinckley are Kimberly Sprungl, Lindsey Sykes, Samantha Szpak and Audrey Zbydnowski. And, from Valley City, Samuel Oliver.
