FAIRVIEW PARK, Ohio -- A man who robbed a Fairview Park branch of Huntington Bank is also suspected of a similar bank robbery last week in Broadview Heights, the Cleveland Division of the FBI and Fairview Park police said.
Tuesday’s robbery happened shortly before 11:30 a.m. at the Giant Eagle Huntington Bank on Lorain Road near Clague Road, Cleveland FBI spokeswoman Vicki Anderson said.
The man walked into the bank, gave the teller a demand note and took off with an undisclosed amount of money, according to the FBI. Authorities say the man wore a wig, sunglasses and carried a messenger bag.
The man, who is also suspected of robbing a Huntington Bank in a Broadview Heights Giant Eagle on Royalton Road near Ken Mar Industrial Parkway also gave the teller a demand note, threatened the teller with a gun, but employees say they did not see a gun, the FBI says.
