CLEVELAND, Ohio – Forward Hospitality Group of Cleveland, chef Jonathon Sawyer and Cleveland Indians second baseman Jason Kipnis are teaming up for a venture in Columbus.
Kipnis posted about it on social media. Forward Hospitality Group's Facebook page had a brief note saying "Columbus, see you soon!"
Columbus Monthly reports the project will be in the heart of the Short North, the city's popular restaurant-bar district. The magazine says it will be at 906 N. High St., which previously was occupied by RAM Restaurant & Brewery, a 9,000-square-foot brewpub. RAM has locations in the Midwest and West Coast.
Among Forward Hospitality Group's businesses are Bell & Flower in Chagrin Falls, Magnolia Coffee + Donuts, One Red Door in Hudson, 3 Palms Pizzeria and others.
We reached out to Forward Hospitality Group for details but have not heard back.
Seems like a perfect fit for Kipnis, who is a hockey fan. Nationwide Arena, home to the NHL’s Blue Jackets, is about a mile from the Short North location.
COLUMBUS!! Excited to announce my first project is on its way and I can’t wait for you guys to see it! Lucky enough to be teaming up with @BobbyRutter @Aldo__Narcisi and the man @chefsawyer !!
