CLEVELAND, Ohio – A wine dinner with live opera is planned at Cowell & Hubbard, The Wine Spot has set a date for its holiday tasting, and many other wine-centric events are set throughout Greater Cleveland. Through August: Corleone's Ristorante will mark its 24th anniversary with nightly $24 food and wine specials, including bottles of Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc, Cakebread Chardonnay, Wente Merlot and Kenwood Cabernet Sauvignon for $24. It's at 5669 Broadview Road, Parma.

Tuesday, Aug. 20: Edwins Leadership & Restaurant Institute will hold a Cigar and Rye Tasting at 6:15 p.m. Cost is $75. Reservations required, call 216-921-3333. It's at 13101 Shaker Square, Cleveland.

Friday, Aug. 30: The International Women’s Air & Space Museum (IWASM) will host its annual Labor Day weekend fundraiser “Corks in the Concourse” 7-10 p.m. The theme is “Island Fly-In Beach Party” with food stations having a tropical theme. The evening will feature several Ohio wineries including Debonne, Grand River, Spring Hill, South River, Cherry Road and others. Sunday, Sept. 1: Today is the final day for The Capital Grille's rotating Generous Pour program themed Legends of the Land (it has been running since July). Guests can sip on any combination of seven wines from California’s Jackson Family. The customized wine tasting is paired with the restaurant’s classic menu items. Cost is $28.
