The Medina County Board of Developmental Disabilities makes a profound impact for our family. When we learned that our son had special needs, MCBDD’s early intervention was there. Within days, we had an evaluation and resources to help -- from supporting feeding and speech delays to literally providing the groundwork for his first successful steps!
We could never have paid for therapy, even with insurance and two working parents.
Funding the renewal for MCBDD’s operating levy ensures MCBDD will continue. When out and about in Medina County, I hear stories about how MCBDD is helping, from providing speech resources for a single mother’s youngest daughter, to workshops outlining the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process, to providing job placement.
We are a stronger community because all of you help support those with special needs in our community. This isn’t a new tax. For the price of a coffee (less than $3 a month per $100,000 home valuation), you can help those in our community who need extra support.
Isn’t that what makes a community?
MCBDD provides much-needed services; your support allows them to continue this service. On Nov. 5, please vote YES on Issue 12. Show you care!
