Pregnant teen struck, killed by vehicle in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A pregnant teen attempting to cross a downtown street was struck and killed by a vehicle Saturday night, according to reports.

Officials identified the teen as Angela Michael, 19, WCMH Channel 4 reports. Michael’s unborn child did not survive, WCMH reports.

Police tell WBNS Channel 10 got off a COTA bus near an intersection but tried to cross outside a crosswalk area.

She was struck by a 2003 Toyota Corolla driven by a 50-year-old male, police say.

Michael was taken to Grant Medical Center but died of her injuries.

No charges have been filed and the incident remains under investigation.
