WESTERVILLE, Ohio—While the Democrats gear up for Tuesday’s presidential debate at Otterbein University, Republicans have their own debate plans as well.
On Monday night, Trump Victory – the field program of the Republican National Committee and President Donald Trump’s campaign – has scheduled “MAGA meetups” around the state for supporters and volunteers to make signs for a Tuesday rally around 5 p.m. near Otterbein’s Rike Center, where the Democratic debate is being held, according to RNC spokeswoman Mandi Merritt.
Trump Victory plans to also hold watch parties around the state for the debate, which starts at 8 p.m., at Mulligan’s Pub and Grille in suburban Cleveland, as well as in Athens, Akron, Cincinnati, Dayton, suburban Toledo, Xenia, and Youngstown.
The exact time and location of Monday’s MAGA meetups weren’t available as of late Monday afternoon.
In addition, Women For Trump is set to hold an “empower hour” in nearby Powell at noon on Tuesday featuring RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel, Trump National Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany, Ohio Republican Party Chair Jane Timken, and Women for Trump Co-Chair Madison Gesiotto, among others.
That event is open to the public, though attendees must register ahead of time to get tickets.
“Trump Victory and our volunteers will be out in droves across the state reminding Ohioans of the Democrats’ radical agenda that would be detrimental to Ohio,” Merritt said in a statement.
