COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio State held a two-day fundamental skill camp, giving high school players the chance to learn and showcase their talents.

Here are some of the players to keep an eye on following the camp:

Marseille Taylor, The First Academy (Fla.)

Marseille Taylor came to Columbus as a cornerback recruit out of Florida without any offers. By the end of Thursday’s session, he’d garnered interest from Ohio State co-defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley. He didn’t receive an offer, but the Buckeyes have been added to a growing list of schools intrigued by what he brings to the table.

“They said they want to evaluate from of my film from today and they want to keep in touch,” Taylor told cleveland.com. “The coaches said that they really enjoyed me out here.”

Stephan Byrd, Canal Winchester (Ohio) High School

Like Taylor, Stephan Byrd has yet to receive an offer from a school, but many have expressed interest. The running back left after a private workout with Ohio State running backs coach Tony Alford.

Jaylen Anderson, Perry (Ohio) High School

Jaylen Anderson is rated the No. 179 overall player and No. 11 running back in the 2021 class. He put together a quality performance at the camp, leading to a private workout with Alford. Though he did not receive an offer he currently holds seven, with Nebraska being the lone Big Ten program.

C.J. Hicks, Archbishop Alter (Ohio) High School

C.J. Hicks of currently holds offers from five schools, including Iowa. But after an impressive two days expect that to change for the rising sophomore, listed as an athlete.

Chase Crone, Simon Kenton (Independence, Ky.) High School

When Alford pulled aside running backs for private workouts he needed a quarterback for the drills. Passing game coordinator Mike Yurcich sent over Chase Crone, who has yet to throw a single pass in a high school game. The 2023 quarterback recruit put together a pretty solid performance given that he just finished up middle school a few weeks ago.
